THREE EASY STEPS
When you recycle with Containers for Change, you get a refund for every 10c container you return.

WANT TO RECEIVE YOUR REFUND STRAIGHT INTO YOUR ACCOUNT?
Then you'll want to set up a member number (scheme ID), a unique account number that lets you get refunded by EFT on the spot.
1. Save your containers
If your drink container has a 10c mark, bring it to us.
Most aluminium, glass, plastic, steel and liquid paperboard drink containers between 150ml and 3L can be saved. Make sure you take off the lids – we recycle those too, just separately.
2. Bring them to us
Don’t let your containers’ potential go to waste. All across WA, we have refund points that will suit you. Depending on how many containers you’re returning and how you would like to receive your refund, find your local refund point.
Depots
Walk in or drive through to get your containers counted, refunded on the spot and sent on to another life.
Bag drops
If you want your refund returned to your bank account or PayPal, this is a convenient and contact-free option that means the money goes straight into your account. Bag it. Tag it. Drop it.
Reverse vending machines (RVMs)
RVMs count uncrushed containers by scanning their barcodes. Just insert, and guarantee your containers another life.
Pop-up refund points
Sometimes Containers for Change will pop up at events or locations – and you can get your refund there and then!
Bag drops
Bag drops are a convenient and contact-free option. Return your 10¢ containers and receive your refund via your member number's preferred payment method.
BAG IT
Place your 10¢ containers in a closed bag — if the bag is reusable or recyclable, even better!
TAG IT
Securely attach a tag with your member number and name. Using a tag, lets us reuse the bag!
DROP IT
Drop your bag off and we'll collect it, sort it, and process your refund using your member number.

3. EARN A REFUND, OR DONATE IT
Every container earns you 10c – which you can either keep or donate to a cause you believe in.
Electronic funds transfer (EFT) or PayPal
Once you sign up for a member number (scheme ID), your refund can be paid straight into your bank or PayPal account.
Donate your containers
If you know your chosen group's member number (scheme ID), quote it at your local refund point to donate the refund from your containers.
